When Dr Frankenstein decides to retire from the monster-making business, he calls an international roster of monsters to a creepy convention to elect his successor. Everyone is there including Dracula, The Werewolf, The Creature, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and many more. But Frankenstein's title is not all that is at stake. The famous doctor has also discovered the secret of total destruction that must not fall into the wrong hands!
I'm a huge fan of stop-motion animation. Even if the program sucks, the stop-motion animation can make it watchable. Rankin-Bass, are the masters of this, and have delivered some classics over the years; Mad Monster Party being one of them. The story is just so-so, the music is gawd awful, but there is still something very enjoyable about this one.

I'm with C-Man on this one! I ADORE Rankin/Bass!!!!! I just only discovered this one a few years ago. I guess they didn't play it on the 2 tv channels we got when I was little. LOL Anyhoo, I watch/listen to it several times during the year! I could do that will all the Rankin/Bass shows! If you have any of them, I would be your best friend if you'd share them! ;-)
